I don't know if you're right that the 360 is "better for gaming", but I totally agree that the 360 has better textures.
Motion controll = casual.
More casual games = less hardcore games.
Wii = destruction of video gaming.
This is the beginning of the end of hardcore games. In five years every game will be just like Wii Sports or Cooking Mama or Carnival Games. RPGs, games like MGS4, Shadow of the Collosus, Gears: kiss them goodbye. Its all over. Thanks nintendo.
This price cut WILL boost sales in the US. Sony needs to take this price cut seriously because its starting to look like the 360 will be dominant in the US, and lets face it, the US is the world's biggest economy. The PS3 needs a price cut of it's own.
Resistance 2 looks almost exactly like Resistance 1 from what I have seen. R2's graphics might improve before its released, but so far it definitely doesn't look a lot better than the first.

Banjo looks interesting and I was looking forward to it, but that will really suck if you can only play it with a motion controller. I'll be damned if I'll buy a new controller just to play Banjo.
The only way the game could be mind blowing is if it used the PSeye in some new and totally unexpected way. This new game will use the PSeye for sure.
The killzone 2 gameplay videos look incredible, as everybody knows. But now that I've played MGS4, the human faces in the killzone 2 cutscene don't look very good at all. The gameplay in killzone 2 looks better than MGS4, but the human faces just look bad compared to metal gear.
Gaming doesn't have to be expensive. Most games these days are so short you can just rent them, and if a game is long or is a good on-line game it can entertain you for weeks or months. I know people who spend over $200 a month on golf. I don't know anyone who spends $200 a month on games.

Dennis was on the last 1up yours podcast, and I have to say, he sounds completely insane. Seriously, the guy went on one of the most bizarre rants I've ever heard. Hes messed up. No wonder this game looks unfinished and inconsistent, the producer has SEVERE attention deficit disorder.

Play the 360 and the PS3 versions of COD4 on the same TV with the same settings. The textures in the PS3 version are shockingly bad when compared to the 360 version's textures. Look at the textures in MGS4, especially in the jungle sections of South America. Look at the textures in Resistance. Or just tell me, what PS3 game has good textures? (P.S.--Its very difficult to see any surfaces up close in Uncharted. So Uncharted is not a good game to use as an example.)
